Passivhaus

WE STRIVE FOR EXCELLENCE IN OUR PROJECTS
THAT IS WHY WE AIM TO BUILD TO PASSIVHAUS STANDARDS

Ca La Siesta, our flagship

Ca La Siesta is a Bataille Living project that will become the first Passivhaus certified building in Jávea. For us it is a key objective as we seek to create a benchmark in the sector and promote innovation in the construction sector.

The essence of a passivhaus

At Bataille Living we focus on the reconstruction of houses with bioclimatic standards. Ca La Pinada is a good example, as it has been designed following the Passivhaus guidelines. Passivhaus is a concept created in Germany in 1991 that focuses on creating comfort and reducing energy consumption through materials, insulation and orientation, among other means.

What exactly is the passivhaus standard?

Passivhaus is included in the so-called NZEB (Nearly Zero Energy Buildings) or Nearly Zero Energy Buildings. In anticipation of this context of climate urgency, the Passivhaus Institut was founded in Darmstadt (Germany) in 1996 to promote, research and define Passivhaus standards.

This seal has become one of the most relevant certificates for quality control in construction, as it guarantees high comfort, energy efficiency and cost-effective and sustainable consumption in housing. The Passivhaus seal guarantees very high levels of comfort inside the house all year round. This translates into energy savings of around 75% compared to a conventionally built house. In addition, Passivhaus certification requires very specific rigor and quality. As a result, we produce houses of the highest standards and durability. Passivhaus construction is the present and the future of the building sector and a great challenge for construction throughout the world, which is why at Bataille Living we want to continue along this path.
